Hi, I’m Thérèse Kelly-Bialostocki (Tess), a home- based cake maker and decorator, located in beautiful Tauranga. I’ve been making cakes for decades and now specialise in wedding cakes and custom celebration cakes.

Paradise Cakes (previously known as ‘Cakes Awake’) gets its name from ‘Paradise Island’, a much-loved holiday spot in PNG where I spent much of my early years.

I love a cake project; it’s a great combination of things I love to do; planning, research, baking and design.
