In late October 2025, the New Zealand government passed a Food Notice Class exemption for home cake makers & decorators from operating under a registered food control plan or national programme 2025. 

I make and decorate my cakes from my home kitchen in Tauranga and am committed to safe & hygienic food preparation practices.
